Steppers for Hire
Stepper hire is popular thanks to the machine’s compact footprint compared to a treadmill or cross trainer; it is a great way to get fit.
Steppers or stair climbers offer an intense workout for the legs, and some models also have moving arms which engage the upper body too.
Hiring a stepper for home use enables the whole family to get involved in fitness without joining a gym. Easy to operate, a stepper is just like going up a set of stairs, but in a safe environment.
For many years, stair climbers have been seen in gyms and are used in training for endurance walks and climbing events. Heart rate monitoring and fitness testing come as part of our rental machines.
There are cheap price steppers on the market, but these are often low quality despite being more affordable. The Fit Hire ones are sturdy and will give many years of good service.
Compared to training outside, indoor fitness has many advantages – the weather does not affect it, there is no travel time, the risk of injury is reduced, and some of the other hazards found outdoors are avoided. Even the shower is just down the hallway.
Stepper hire is not for everyone, it is an intense exercise – if you have sensitive or damaged knees, you may find that the area becomes more tender or the muscles may feel overworked. But for most of us, the stepper is a great way to get fit quickly.
Even domestic step machines raise the user off the ground by at least 30cm, so measure the ceiling height before ordering a hire machine.
HiiT training is possible on a stepper due to the high intensity of the exercise – but the resistance level must be set low so that the pedalling is fast.
Whether it is a stepper, stairclimber, stepmill or climber, using one of these machines at home will improve fitness very quickly if used in the right way.
