Sports & Social Club Gym - Desford
Enhancing the facilities for this well established Sports & Social Club at Caterpillar UK’s Headquarters included a complete overhaul of the old gym.
A larger, brighter space was created and the equipment now caters for all types of training, without being intimidating. Some of the cardio equipment is in a separate area for those wanting to train in a little more privacy.
Planning a gym space in a refurbished building requires good planning, as the “working area” of equipment is larger than the footprint of the machines alone - sometimes by 50%. We always prefer to work with the architect and facilities manager to ensure that the room will comfortably cater for the mix of equipment needed.
